Peer groups offer practice with same-aged peers; private coaching offers focused one-on-one work. Practice in a controlled setting, then apply in daily life.
Join private coaching or peer groups via Zoom from anywhere in the U.S. Research shows social-skills training via telehealth is just as effective as in person.
Get instant feedback from your peers and coach to fine-tune your skills and enhance your social awareness in real time.
Improve your ability to interpret body language, tone, and facial expressions. Learn to understand different perspectives and how your words and actions impact others.
Parents and caregivers can join our Social Coaching Group or private coaching to learn the same strategies and become social coaches for their loved ones at home.
Our curriculum is structured for success — and proven to be effective.
We begin by assessing each client's current social skills, identifying strengths, challenges, and areas for improvement. Clients complete three short assessments covering social-skills knowledge, relationship quality, and social anxiety, and we set clear, measurable goals together.
We focus on teaching specific skills — making introductions, maintaining conversations, interpreting body language, entering and exiting group conversations. Role-playing exercises let clients rehearse and refine their responses in a safe, low-pressure setting.
Clients apply new skills in real-life situations: interacting with group members between sessions, participating in group activities, and engaging in their community. We teach tools that promote small, confident steps toward social goals.
Coaches provide immediate feedback during practice, highlighting what was done well and areas for growth. Positive reinforcement and strengths-based feedback motivate clients — and in groups, members begin to encourage and motivate each other.
The goal is for skills to transfer from training into everyday social contexts. Weekly or bi-weekly sessions review progress, address new challenges, and reinforce skills as they show up across school, work, and relationships.
Family involvement is proven to enhance the effectiveness of social-skills training. Our Social Coaching Group, plus private coaching for parents and caregivers, trains caregivers to become "social coaches" for their loved ones, using the same language and techniques as their S Groups coach.
