This social skills training program incorporates UCLA’s PEERS© curriculum, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) in managing anxiety, building confidence, and developing genuine connections.
Develop specific strategies to form and maintain friendships, including how to initiate and maintain conversations, use humor appropriately, find appropriate sources of friends, and handle conflicts.
Identify unhelpful thought patterns that may be leading you towards avoidance, self criticism, and low self esteem. Gain the tools needed to create more helpful thought patterns and strategies that will move you towards your social goals.
Boost your confidence and self-esteem through role-playing and encouragement in our groups or from your private coach, resulting in greater increased confidence and reduced anxiety during real-life interactions.
You’ll be encouraged to actively attend and enroll in social activities, clubs, or classes based on your interests, so you can meet people with similar interests. This often leads to new friendships, decreased social anxiety, and increased confidence.
Gain and refine essential social skills through weekly or bi-weekly group or private coaching sessions. Role playing with your private coach and actively practice newly learned social skills in real-life settings leads to enhanced social interactions in all areas of your life.
Apply the skills learned in your group or private coaching sessions to build meaningful relationships, manage social anxiety, and effectively navigate social situations, ensuring lasting improvements with making and keeping friends.
